Our day today (pretty normal ish day)

Today we went to SM aura (SM here are HUGE malls.) Some of them aren’t so huge like SM Jazz but most of the ones I have been to are pretty crazy. SM aura is the closest SM to us (walking distance even!) and we spend a decent amount of time there. We do our grocery shopping there at SM grocery and Healthy Options once a week and we generally like to go there and just walk around, get coffee, etc. SM aura has 6 floors? Last night Joey had gone into one of the basement floors and discovered a play place there called KidCity and we have never been there or even knew it was there! So, today we went and tried it out for the first time. It is a little more expensive the Kidzoona and the place wasn’t as clean/big/safe in my opinion but the play time can be “unlimited” which is pretty cool. It is 480php for each child for unlimited and 120php for the adult to stay. Kids over 5 can stay alone. We played there for FOUR HOURS. The kids really loved it even though initially Oliver was struggling and whatnot. He was a little too small for some of the things but it was okay because Aubrey helped him with things that were a little too challenging. We will not be leaving Kidzoona to come to this place as we really love it there and the staff there is unbelievably amazing which as you all are starting to see that is VERY important to me! We will visit this place though when we want a “change.” After we played there, I was STARVING. The kids had eaten breakfast but I had only had my venti soy iced caramel triple shot latte… Yes. Triple shot.. haha! So, afterwards we went to the Sky Park (top floor) and got smoothies (raspberry for me and strawberry for the kids.) I also got fried tofu, rice and soy sauce. All of this plus a basket of baked wedges was only 475php which is a little under 10$ USD! SCORE! We then went down two levels and played at the toy store with magnetic sand and Lego before heading home (they both fell asleep in the car!) This is very rare because our car rides are usually 10 minutes or less here, haha! One of the staff at our building actually carried Aubrey up to the condo and laid her down because I was carrying Oliver… They are seriously the best. I was able to do dishes, shower, make some dinner, clean up a bit, and hang out with Joey (yay for couple time) before Aubrey had woken up from her 5PM *nap*… She is now journaling with her stickers and markers happily while Oliver will sleep through the night since he didn’t nap. 🙂

Here are some pictures from today!!

Moving from month to month

This has been the most exhausting thing about traveling like we have been traveling. Not really leaving Metro Manila but taking our stuff (not the problem) plus groceries, bathroom essentials, diapers, toys (we donate/get rid of toys monthly as the kids get bored and things get broken), etc. I am so glad that we DO NOT have to do this anymore. Although our personal things fit in two suitcases and two backpacks, all of the things we eat and need to run our household made moving a lot of work, haha. We no longer have the hello kitty suitcase, the green and blue backpacks, or the red backpack. We have literally minimized so much that EVERYTHING we own fits in the pink and white suitcases. Even our SPRIT blankets, my laptop, etc. We have bought some things like a blender, a lasagna/pasta dish, and cups for the kids as plastic is a rarity in Airbnbs and glass is not acceptable for two toddlers…haha! This latest move should be a piece of cake because we are just going from one tower to another! Yay!! 15179066_10210834281315031_6082356467792054073_n.jpg

Philippines VegFest!!

We stayed in Quezon City for the week of Philippines VegFest and it was pure heaven. We stayed in the most beautiful Airbnb and ate the most amazing vegan food with friends who traveled up for one of the days to eat with us!! It was such a wonderful thing to find in a new country. Something that is comforting and also makes us feel not so “alien-like.” I think it was one of our best trips while we have been here. I v-logged that day, so you will get to see it all but I also have some pictures. We ate ice-cream, hot dogs, sandwiches, bbq, cupcakes that Aubrey “designed”, got a mug, tshirt, beautiful crochet octopi for the kids, stickers, coffee, nacho cheese, parmesan cheese, a bunch of meals… Literally EVERYTHING and ALL VEGAN! It was amazing and I can’t wait for you guys to see the footage! For now..pictures15068297_10210694373617426_1791170345987193548_o.jpg15039651_10210686692585405_2223861371741579596_o.jpg15039559_10210686693665432_5999499460047033686_o.jpg15039483_10210694372457397_7567539319265448897_o.jpg15025306_10210686692905413_1930356653639791271_o.jpg15002391_10210686692185395_7985805685178994191_o.jpg14991045_10210686636384000_334044083154055942_o.jpg14976559_10210686691865387_699982504283489387_o.jpg15025531_10210686735706483_3672231899544193800_o.jpg

Halloween!!

We were here for Halloween and we did celebrate! The kids dressed up and we did Trick or Treating at Market! Market! and SM Aura (two of our favorite places!) The kids did get quite a big of candy that they couldn’t have but they also got *enough* candy they could have and we’re sweet enough to donate their non-vegan candy to their nanny at the time! Aubrey dressed up as Minnie Mouse and Oliver was Pikachu! They absolutely loved it and had such a wonderful time!

Ocean Park Manila

We did go to Ocean Park Manila which is the aquarium here. It is pretty large and the kids had a blast! We actually did v-log that day so we will have a bunch of footage from then to put onto our YouTube once we are back in NYC. I have a few pictures from the day that I will insert down below, also. The kids favorite part was glow in the dark scorpions.. ew! Haha! Aubrey was really hoping they would have Whale sharks but they did not. She is obsessed. She did enjoy the sharks they did have and the tunnel of water/tanks was probably her second favorite. Oliver was just obsessed with everything. He had such a good time. Joey had a wonderful time as they had a bunch of gift shops, one of them having a bunch of magic trick sets (he spent a bunch of money on things there and thoroughly enjoyed them, haha!) This is probably the most “touristy” thing we have done as we haven’t really done much outside of the city. We plan to change that soon now that we are going to be settled into a place and won’t have to pack up our entire lives to go on trips here and there.15000247_10210709273949925_5597416374153483300_o.jpg15025631_10210709453194406_2783299262690637117_o.jpg15000768_10210709273469913_4592199908053730206_o.jpg14990925_10210708049999327_1903278144210426078_o.jpg
